I too thought it was impossible to get a dog, but it isn't, I have one but it doesn't move, it just lays there... I got it from my friend. It is called Nintendogs European DLC... look it up!

yes you can go to resetti's house on animal crossing lets go to the city. he gives you a silver shovel to go away! if you want to see him go to the right side of the town every night after 8:00pm where the cones are on the pavement and one day they will be open. go inside and he will be there with his haton either sat down or stood up. (when i visit him he is stood up.) talk to him twice and either the first or second time he will give you the shovel. then you can talk to him again. well there is no point talking to him again coz he dosent give you anything else.

P.S: Start it on a monday night and if its not open the try tuesday and if if its not open keep doing the same

No you don't need a golden shovel to get bells out of rocks but you can use one do do this. Just cheek every rock in your village and hit it with any shovel. I a money bag comes out of it hit it twice more!

how you do it....... first talk to them again and again every day and wave at them whenever you see them then post your feelings about them on the post bord and also write them a letter saying how much you like them. and last if they ever ask you to find them a fossel,fish,bug,clothes ecs find it for them. after a while they will say to you "i know we are still friends but i cant help thinking that we have chemistery and it scares me" ..........and sometimes when you see him/her talking to another villager they say they have a crush on you and then eventually they will give you a pic of them and will tell you that they reallly like you and want to come to your house alot.....hope i helped

i know how to get qiuk money just keep changing the time to the 1st january any year and your mom sends you a letter with a present in it everytime you do it well not everytime most times though. the present is 10,000 bells

If you need quick money, have coconut trees near your beach, I have 9 I don't know if you need more or any less. Starting around sunset or at dark you can find; Goliath Beetle, Elephant Beetle, Hercules Beetle, and Atlas Beetles on the coconut trees, they are all at least 6,000 bells. It does take a few hours. You can also find Rainbow Stags, they are just on normal and fruit trees, and they are 10,000 bells. I once got about 90,000 bells in one night.
I did this in the summer time from about 11p.m. to 2p.m. it does take time and you have you walk back and forth a lot. I don't know if it has to be in summer. Be careful if you do it in summer because there are sometimes scorpions and tarantulas in the summer time and if they attack you, you black out and end up in front of your house. But you can catch them if you stalk them and attack from behind it's hard sometimes though. I think they are about at least 6,000 bells.

P.S. the hint above, it works and the letters come from mom in the game.

(If you donate the tarantula first, it eyeballs you when you in the room and once you donate the scorpion too. The tarantula and the scorpion fight every time you're in the room.)

Yeah you cant get a dog in animal crossing! And if you want to know how to get tons of bells well in July and August plant TONS of palm trees because late at night there will be rare bugs on them! Like Goliath Beetle- 6,000 bells Atlas Beetle- 8,000 bells Elephant Beetle- 8000 bells and a hercules Beetle- 12,000 bells. And also there will be tarantula's and scorpions on the ground! HOPE THIS HELPS! Oh and p.s. there also may be a shark or hammerhead around 1:00 a.m.

You get palm trees by planting coconuts in the dirt (not the sand) along the shore. You get coconuts when they randomly wash up on the beach or if you have a friend with palms in their village you can visit their village and get some. Sometimes they don't grow -just keep trying.

ok no what people?, you CAN CAN CAN get a dog. all you have to do is:
1st dog:
after the poster for a missing cat is at your town find the cat, then give it to the owner, then a month later a poster for a missing dog will be at your town, then find the dog and give it to the owner, the next day the owner will be outside the city gate talk to her and she will give you the dog as a gift.
2nd dog:
take the 1st dog out for a walk twice a day for a week, then one day while you are walking it in the next week another dog will see you walking your dog, your dog will run away and chase the other dog. !!!do not worry!!! one day later your dog and the other dog will show up at the city gate, go up to them and press A and the dogs will follow you go in your house and go to bed for an hour, when you play again the dogs will be on a bed/couch sleeping. press A and they will go to your inventory.
This works , you can get up to 2 dogs per game. Its true i've got a black and a yellow lab. They follow you or walk around your house!!!
You can sell them for 1,000,000 bells but you will never see them again!!! Hope all this helps

They both Aren't rumors, you can get a dog!
But only in the Europe version of animal crossing! The Cat one isn't a rumor either, it's in Wild world, if you talk to the phone and tap downloads it will have "mysterious Cat" Which must be Kaitlin the Kitten and her Mom. So they both aren't fake. Just search up Nintendogs DLC - Animal Crossing on google images and google.

first buy a dog house
and put it in your house press a in front of it 10
times and then save turn off the ds and then turn it back on press a in front of the dog house then put it in your pockets and make sure you have a golden shovel if not bury one for 24 hours then bury the dog house for 2 hours and place patterns around it and before 2 hours is up buy a new dog house and place it in your room then wait until it is time to dig it up and when you dig it up the doghouse will be brocken and instead you will have a puppy waiting in your new dog house yay

also if u need money:
put at least 40,000 or as much as u have in the bank,
then put the year forward to as far as it will go and the date to the 1st of whatever month u want except the one it already is,
go check ur mail u will have a letter from the town hall saying that u have 99,999 bells of interest in your bank account,
then go to the bank, put the money in your pocket and go back to normal time and u have loads of money! you can keep doing it to pay off your mortgage. i do it all the time and it REALLY DOES WORK! THIS IS NOT A LIE!

The note in a bottle thing? I think. Yeah. Because I got one from this dude named Tom.... (If the note in a bottle you get doesn't say Dear Some Stranger it's just something the game sends you.
But remember, the note in a bottle you send may or may not make it to somebody's town. Also, if you get one from somebody and send one back, it may not make it either.

There is another way to get a dog, go to the beach, catch one fish, get all the seashells and put them in your house. the next day the dog should be staring at the fish because it is hungry. you can get it faster soon as you put the stuff in the house then turn off the ds and continue. before you choose your character, go to the phone and reset your time. Reset your ds again and you will have the dog.

You cannot get a dog. It wouldn't be that smart because dogs can move into your town and some of them are really friendly and it would be really mean if you got one and kept it as a pet. I know it is just a game, but still, it would be mean. My best friend was a dog but then she moved away. I miss her. I had her picture but then my sister sold it. I haven't seen my doggy friend since... :(

Okay guys the rumour about the dog thing is all a fake, but you can get a kennel thats just as cool (or maybe not...) but the truth is, you have to find out all of the secrets by yourself, I mean I looked for cheats all the time for stuff. But non of them actually work. You can waste your time finding stuff that are only stupid rumours, that sound amazing. BUT you could actually be playing on the game. Golden Shovel: Two shovels, bury one normal shovel, wait or time jump 24hours, dig up the shovel you buried 24hours ago and then you have a golden shovel.
Golden Slingshot: Shoot down at least 15 balloons holding presents with a normal slingshot, then you'll see a golden toolbox being carried by a balloon, shoot it down and then you have a golden slingshot.

I do not know about golden axes, golden fishing rods, or golden nets. But I do have the golden shovel and slingshot.
For: American Version, Animal Crossing: Wild World for DS . This is the one I have.

Hello - I have read all of these comments, and here is my own.
1. On the DS version of AC, NO you can NOT receive or get a dog, nor on the wii AC:CF - I don't know if it works for gamecube.
2. Yes, using a normal shovel will allow you to get money from ONE rock in the city a day. However, using a golden shovel will increase the size of money you receive. This also works for Wii.
3. You can receive a silver shovel from Resetti on Wii by visiting the town everyday at 8.00pm and going straight to the right. On Wii, you can only receive a silver shovel, slingshot, rod, net or axe on RANDOM days in Nooks shop.
4. To receive a golden shovel, buy two normal shovels and bury ONE of them anywhere in the town where you can remember it's place. Change the clock to 24 hours later then dig it up, and it will be golden.
5. To receive a golden slingshot, which increases the chance of rare items in floating presents and shoots 3 rocks at a time, you must shoot over 15 floating presents. Then, at random, a golden floating box on a golden balloon will be floating around.
6. To receive a golden net or fishing rod, you must catch one of EVERY fish OR bug in the game.
7. To receive a golden watering can, your town must be free of weeds and beautiful for 18 days in a row. To find your towns grade, go to the Town Hall and talk to Pelly and choose 'Enviroment!' She will tell you what the game things of your town and how you can improve it e.g more trees, more plants...
8. On the Wii game, if you donate enough money to the Town Hall, they will build a fountain near the Town Gate. Everyday you will have the chance to throw a normal axe into it, releasing the AA ghost. You will then have a chance, at random, to receive a silver axe.
9. To get golden roses, you must first breed Black roses and allow them to start dying. Then, use a golden watering can, and the next day they will be golden. They will NOT die.

You actually can't get a actual dog, I don't think. But you can buy a dog house to go in your house and stand in front of it and press 'a'. Then something will growl and two red eyes will apper in the dog house. But that is as far as you can get. Sorry):

Im not sure this works but I've read on so many websites that you can get a dog by finding the cat when the missing cat poster turns up and then a month later a missing dog poster appears so find the dog and give it to the owner then the next day you will find the owner in front of the town hall and he will give you the dog as a reward.
You can also walk the dog twice each day for a week and sometime you will see another dog so your dog will chase it and go away. But don't worry it will come back the next day with the other dog and you will have 2 dogs instead of one.
Like I said in the begining I read this off many websites.

Hello people who are confused if the cheats are correct or not.Ok so first the dog cheat works.I saw the proof.You can get a cute little puppy if you follow these directions.First change the time to 5:00pm or 9:00am at any random day.But it has to be this time.Next if you see a bird flying in the sky that must be pete.Shoot him down.Talk to him and go to the nearest tree and shake shake shake until you see a puppy popped out of a tree.And guess what.You are completely done for the dog cheats.Oh but if don't believe me don't believe me because I'm trying to help you guys.

I hav tried sum of the cheats and you can get a golden shovel and you can see pete because I speak 2 him everyday and I have a massive house that is practically a mansion and it's because I done the 99000bells chaat and the 1 where you're mom sends you 10,000bells that 1 works but you need 2 do it more than once as it usually don't work 1st time round. I am probably 1 of the richest people on animal crossing as I hav over 30million in my savings alone.I have had my animall crossing 5 years and I guarantee that I will go on it onece a day at least and it's usually all night till about 1 in the mornin wen I eventually get off it

Well I have heard you can get a dog idk! I have seen pictures of dogs on google! I typed in animal crossing city folk and I went through all the pictures and I saw three with pets! Don't believe me look for your self!

Somebody told me that you have to knock the white bird with clothes on which I think is green and once you talk to him go to the nearest tree with a fruit,shake the tree,pickup the fruit, go to your house,set it by a window,then go outside and a dog will be there.I have never tried it though.Hope this helps.
