Animal Crossing Wild World Question

I keep hearing about hair salons in Animal Crossing Wild World. That sounds awesome! How do you get a hair salon or change your hair color? I've been playing the game for over a year now and I haven't seen a hair salon. What do I have to do to get one? Thank you!

You are required to spend 240,000 Bells worth of merchandise at Nook's store, and then a visitor from another town must also purchase at least ONE product from Nook's.

Nook will then expand his store into a large Department-store-style shop called Nookingtons, and in the back of Nookington's is the barber shop Shampoodle.
