What I did is when I entered my game I was in a dungeon then I selected "give up" on the menu and I was the pokemon I wanted. Hope this helped. ^^

this is the answer for the first comment: you need an action replay thing and you go to the game you have in the slot, and you type the name of the cheat and then press continue and you type in the data for the cheat-for example, the data for your hero pokemon to be darkrai would be: 122b5158 00000215
