Code works just fine. Y'all might be interpreting it oddly though :p Since there's brick around the house you can't have roses directly next to the house.
Eight gold roses sprouted in a horizontal line in an area between my house and Nooks. Near enough huh? XD
You gotta hit UP and LEFT as directed and they'll spawn repeatedly without having to turn the game off and on.
