The music box is in the square in your garden that is in between your dog house and your tree. It is kind of hard to find, so here is a way that is easier for me:

Walk straight from the tree to the edge of you garden area, then keep walking and count 10 squares while doing so. (It might be easier if you use your hoe and dig up 10 squares you won`t lose you place.) Once you get there, you should be 3 squares away from the bottom side of you garden. (The side that is farthest from you dog house.) If you are there, dig that square up, with you hoe, 10 times. On the 10th time you will get the music box.

And BTW, there are an unlimited amount of music boxes. After you give one to a girl, go back and dig there again and there will be another one! I know this is true because I have done it myself.
