Does it protect the greenhouse from typhoons?

Rumor says it lowers the chances of the green house being destroyed.
Another rumor says by leaving your dog in the green house will protect it. The dog one to my knowledge is fake, but I do believe the Invincible Katori will somewhat protect it.
