The game involves putting together a few heroes that will be able to make a strong line up which you will use against invaders, Campaign bosses, and even evil Tower Defense pawns. There are five types of heroes the players can choose from: Tank, Marksman, Mage, Support, and Cannon. Each of the hero types has a common spot to take in your line up (ex. Most marksman type of heroes are situated at the middle row while the Tanks are usually up front). However, there will be times when heroes will have a unique spot to assume once included in your Hero Line-up.

There are five basic Hero statistics in the game: [br /]

1. Tank

These Heroes are particularly blessed with a huge amount of HP. Being Tanks, their primary purpose is to hold off enemies and take in damage for as long as they can. Their function is completely shown in Tower Defense campaigns where you may observe how Tanks huddle enemies in one corner—waiting for Mages and/or attackers to get rid of the collected bunch of minions. 2. Marksman

These Heroes tend to focus on single targets while also shoving off higher DPS. Not all Marksman Heroes have AoE skills but then these Heroes are better used when your team is in need of a Hero that can give out a pretty high amount of damage. When choosing which Hero to use as a Marksman in your lineup, it is recommended that you check out what type of enemy you will be facing.

3. Support

These Heroes are your team’s lifeline. They provide your team with stat and skill buffs (health regeneration, speed buff, etc.). Support Heroes are usually placed at the back row—therefore meaning that they may not have much HP to begin with, so it is best to keep them protected by a forcible Tank and mid-row.

4. Mage

Together with your Marksman Heroes, Mages are those reliable when it comes to being able to dish out pretty good damage against enemies. But just like most mages, these Heroes may not have as much HP so they usually die easily after one heavy blow. Mages are commonly placed in the mid-row in the game.

5. Cannon

When it comes to addressing the need to squash a horde of enemies, a Cannon usually comes in handy as their expertise lie on their ability to delivery effective AoEs. Using a Cannon, especially during Tower Defense campaigns are essential in crowd control.
