Question for The Simpsons: Tapped Out

I hope someone can help me. I updated the Simpsons Tapped Out software on my iPhone today and ever since, after about 5 seconds of gameplay, the whole game crashes and shuts down.
I've logged in under an alternative name and as a guest and it works fine on these, but not my my normal username - where I was on level 12.
I've also tried logging on using a different device, but that crashes too. Seems like a problem with my username? Any suggestions? Many thanks.

Try to log out then log in. If it still doesn't work shut off the device and turn it back on and retry. If it still doesn't work delete the game from the used apps and retry. Last thing, if that still doesn't work then take a risk and delete the game from the device. If any of these things do not work I am sorry but that is how I fixed it for my iPhone 4s.
