Why don't I get any more xp? It's stuck and I can't go up in level?

If you are level 20 that is currently the highest you can go in the game. So you are stuck in Limbo till they add more levels. You can still earn $$$ though and there are still quests, just no XP. I got a message when I made it to level 20 saying " We never thought anyone would play the game this far"

If its the end then how do i get prompted to build other things like the church etc? Also what happens if I dont add friends? will i not be able to get certain quests or build certain things? Im at level 21 and not getting more XPs. What about the Mayan calendar.I have never seen this or been prompted? what do i have to do?
