You can mine obsidian by using a dimond pickake in the pc version but ther is no obsidian yet in Minecraft PE. You will have to wait for an update to come out that has obsidian in it.

There is another way to obtain Obsidian on Minecraft Pocket Edition without Nether or anything.
1. Craft a bucket.
2. Find water (or lava).
3. Mix them and you should be able to obtain Obsidian.

Need obsidian I have no dimon pic

None of these work for me
Guest answered:

Just like in the pc or xbox version you must find a place where water and lava mix and mine there, but of corse there is no buckets so you will have to find it natrually. I know the seed 'herobrine' there will be a double waterfall with cobble sticking out, mine the cobble a couple of times and you should get obsidian, sorry that it is only one block but this is the only seed that I know of that has lava and water mixing.

How so you make the nether portal?
Guest said: 9th Mar 2013 | REPORT
To make a nether portal do 4 across and 5 blocks tall
Guest said: 30th May 2013 | REPORT
It does have obsidian
It just doesn't spawn random and it will be easier in0.7.0

Guest answered:

Use herobrine. You go through the little cave and go to the water fall and mine the block above the cobble stone and then you get one block of obsidian.

How do you create a nether reactor
Guest said: 20th Jan 2014 | REPORT
You need some diamonds and iron ingots and then go to the crafting table
Killerzz answered:

The seed is nyan it has many lava falls and waterfalls

Guest answered:

All you do is set your device to peaceful mode make a dimond pickaxe, build the nether portal and mine the obsidion with dimond pickaxe

Guest answered:

You have to build the nether portal with four gold blocks, one diamond nether reactor core, and 13 coble stone. First you put the four gold blocks in the shape of a square with one block width apart from each. Next, place the coble stone in a cross shape between each gold block. Place the nether reactor on top of the middle coble. Next put one coble on top of each gold block. Put another coblestone ontop of the nether reactor and put one block on each side of the coble. During this process there would be a client message saying " order incorrect" or something like that. After you made this hit the core with your hand. And remember to take a diamond pickaxe and a diamond sword scince you will be surrounded by obsidian and there would also be zombie pigmen trying to kill you. I have used this alot and it works very well. I have 2 stacks of 64 obsidian. But remember that it isnt that worth it scince you can't do anything with it. Oh yea and also there would be Items dropped on the floor that you can pick up. I used the seed jpgaming to get lots of diamonds and gold. I also used a glitch that you place 2 iron, diamond, or gold blocks in a random place and then exiting the game, deleting it from the history and entering the game again would regenerate those blocks you placed. Its pretty legit! You should do this with your diamonds and gold blocks. I also forgot to mention that you have to dig straight down from your spawn point to get some of these diamonds. So mark you place and gather some wood. On the way down there would be iron ores so you wont have to go exploring the world for some iron first. Hoped this helped!

Type in the code
"herobrine" ( NO CAPITALS )
Around spawn you should see 2 water falls with a sticking out cobblestone in the middle. So pick the block above the sticking out cobblestone and above the waterfall on the right. And then the water should mix into the lava to make obsadien.

P.S. Hope this helps

Guest answered:

Activate the neather core reactor. It gives you obsidian, but you have to mine it 😄
