How do you use flint and steel on minecraft PE because when I tap on the thing I want to burn it doesn't get on fire nothing happens

As of 0.4.0, flint and steel is only used to ignite TNT. It can't set fires (yet).

You can also use it to lite portals and when you go in the portal stand on it and don't just walk through it

Well what I'm looking for is how you use it on minecraft pocket on the kindel because I'm trying to build a fireplace using flint and steel hut it wont light at all

It will not create fires even in Minecraft 0.5.0, it can only detonate TNT.

In creative mode, you can not make flint and steel

inveditorpro that gives you blocks and tools
including flint and steel so I wanted to make
a fire kingdom lol

Don't listen to him he's a noob. You can explode TNT on any minecraft game. Flint and Steel won't open portals or set things on fire in PE as of yet but it can in any other version.

Its just stupid because if you can do it on the PC but why not on the facking tablet like kindles and prestigios and stuff

Its because the p.e worlds are too small you could easily just clear everything.

Yeah. That would be understandable. So just to let everyone looking at this I have 0.6.1. And it still doesn't have 1.mine cart's 2.tracks or 3.buckets.

The beta version is coming on April 2, 2013 with plenty of stuff. Best-case scenario would be that flint and steel can make fire on beta.

The flint and steel will only blow up TNT, this may be changed eventually. Flint and steel will not set any fires on the pe version. You can set fires on the: Xbox, PC, or Play Station. It will not set fire in: PE, tablet, Kindle Fire( any kindle), or ipad
