How do you get coal? I realy need coal beacause at nite, I can't see. I've mined as far as you can go. Please help me!!!!!

If you want coal you need to look high up on big mountains to find little dots of black in gray.The get it and your good.

Along with looking up at big mountains, I dug downwards in sand new the edge of the world....probally not a big help but still that is where I found A LOT.

If you mine deep enough into the ground you will hit rock. Mine around into that and you can also find coal.

Get some wood that is not brown chop it put it in a furnace and hey presto you have coal

Don't use wood axe to mine coal. Use the stone axe.

You have to mine coal with a pickaxe, same goes for stone, you maybe need a stone pickaxe I'm not sure. You do need a stone one for iron, and an iron one for diamond.

I believe there is a chance of receiving coal if you strike gravel with a stone or ++ shovel, much like receiving seeds from grass. I may be wrong though

I built a furnace and mixed together normal wood from a tree and a wooden plank and I got coal as a product I hope this helps

Just Dix down a few blocks until you find stone once you find stone dig down about 1-8 blocks and then dig around you. It worked about 1/2 or 1/3 times. When I do I either find coal, iron ore or coal and iron ore at the same time.

This has happened to me to but then I figured out that you can find coal on the outside of a mountain only a little bit it's usually really high so I would suggest you lf you looked up. You can also find it by going down diagonally. Well I hope it helped you.ððð
