Hmmm. This is the fastest guide I've ever written. Mainly due to its only a
Walkthrough :P

===============================================================================
Introductory
------------

My name is Captain Olimar. I've crash-landed on a stange planet. My ship is in
pieces- my only hope for survival lies with odd creatures I call Pikmin...

Pikmin fight fiercely, and in great numbers they can vanquish the monstrous
predators of this planet. After battles, they tote fallen enemies back to their
nests to be transformed into more Pikmin!

Perhaps it is because I have plucked each of them from the earth, but these
Pikmin seem to obey my every command. Up to 100 follow me at a time!

I have only 30 days before my life support system fails me and I succomb to this
toxic oxygen. Forunately, the Pikmin are tireless in their efforts to help.

Walkthrough
-----------

I'm writing this like you know what your doing and know how to play. This game
is very hard if you can't work fast and swiftly. After Day 1, you can go about
in whatever order you want to get the parts. This is how I go about through the
game, usually wielding good results- 30 treasures before day 25.

The map changes on how the camera view is, making it so much more difficult to
explain directions. I understand that this game is just about impossible to right
a walkthrough for, basically I just have to tell you how to get the parts and types.
However I'll try my best to describe how you should go about it.

*Day 1*
The Impact Site

Take a look at your ship. This is where you drag all the ship parts back too.
You can read what he says. Anyway, head left and you see markings on the ground.
Head left more to see a dark red thing. Pikmin! Tons of cutscenes now. Bleh.
Pluck the Pikmin with A. Take down a nearby Pellet Posey and have the 'min take
it back. More cutscene, wooh! Take down both and then get your small army of five
and in a corner beyond some plants is a 5 pellet. Take it back and come back for
the regular one too. Then with all the 'min in tow, swarm them onto the box like
thing, triggering a cutscene.

Engine! Go up the hill and across the box and grab all the pellets. Then go get
the engine. This is literally all we can do here. Then the day auto ends.

Parts Remaining: 29
Days Remaining: 29
---

*Day 2*
Forest of Hope

Take a good look around. First, start by taking down some pellet posies and put
some min on the tall grass- this produces nectar which will turn them into flowers.
Then, swarm all onto the lattice-type wall. Take down all the pellet posies and
dwarf red bulborbs. Take it all back for your min army to fill up. Then head
right from the wall and take back the Eternal Fuel Dynamo and red 10 posie.
Then head back and sneak past the sleeping Bulborb and take down the wall. Then
you can kill the Bulborb if you want. Bear in mind he can be tough since you
can't rapid-fire throw Pikmin at him. An option is when he stands up swarm them
under him and he should go down like that. Then proceed into the next area, past
more enemies to a dark yellow onion. Yellow Pikmin!! Take what you can to the
yellow onion. By now the clock should be winding down- HAVE ALL PIKMIN THAT ARE
ON THE FIELD WITH YOU once the countdown begins.

Parts Remaining: 28
Days Remaining: 28
---

*Day 3*
Forest of Hope

Fresh day. Take out the yellows. Head back to the where the second gate was from
yesterday. There is a can with bomb-rocks- swarm the YELLOWS on them. Then go
into the area where you found the onion and throw 3 yellows carrying bomb-rocks
at it. Boom. Go through, taking care of Sheargrubs and some Dwarfs. On the ledge
is the Whimsical Radar- now you can see the map by pressing Y. Carry on through
this area to a darkened bomb-rock wall. It will take 9 bomb-rocks, there are
enough. Behind it is the Extraordinary Bolt. Lug it back to the ship too. From
the path you were on head right (the only other way was into the small alcove
with this piece. At the intersection, go straight and take down a darkened
lattice wall. This is for preparation for tomorrow. On the rightpath was a bomb
rock wall leading right into the base. Take that down if you have 3 bomb-rocks.
If not, leave it for tomorrow. If you have ample time left, feel free to take
out the Bulborbs and any pellet posies on the place.

Parts Remaining: 26
Days Remaining: 27
---

*Day 4*
Forest of Hope

First things first- take down that bomb rock wall in the base. Go through, take
down the dark lattice wall if not already done so, and head right. Past enemies
is a can of bomb-rock and the Nova Blaster. Hull it back. Ship upgraded! We
can enter another area tomorrow. We can get one more part. Head out of the other
side of the base. There is some water and a ledge. You can see a Bulborb back
in the ledge area. Throw an army onto the ledge and cross through the water by
yourself, sneak around the Bulborb, get the army, and kill him. Then grab the
Shock Absorber. With the current min types, we cannot get any of the remaining
parts here. So breed the rest of the day till your hearts content.

Parts Remaining: 24
Days Remaining: 26
---

*Day 5*
The Forest Naval

This place is fire and water hazardous. Drop off the ledge to the right near the
Yellow Onion. Over near that ledge is a pile of sticks with a part on a ledge
across the gap. Swarm the min onto that. The Automatic Gear then can be taken
back. Do this with reds, because Firey Blowhogs litter the path. Also be careful
of enemies right below you that regain health and love snacking on Pikmin.

After, head into the water near all those blue pellet posies. Blue Pikmin!
Assemble an army and head out with the blues. Head up the path and behind you.
Drop down a couple of levels and you see another pile of sticks and bomb rocks-
we can get these tomorrow, its tricky. Then grab the #1 Ionium Jet. Along the
path is a lattice wall- tear it down if you can. If the day runs out, which it
did for me, it will be right where it was left today.

Parts Remaining: 23
Days Remaining: 25
---

*Day 6*
The FOrest Naval

Grab #1 Ionium Jet today (its over in the water areas). Tear down the lattice
wall that is in its path too on the way back. Now we need to get those bomb
rocks. Take 20 yellows down into the watery areas (on the land part of course).
Down two ledges is the sticks and bomb rocks. Assemble the sticks then get the
bomb-rocks. Swarm the Pikmin up out of there via the sticks. Then walk out and
drop down to where they are now. DO NOT WHISTLE TO THEM!!! You have to walk and
get them to join you by touching them. Then throw them up and do the same. Or
they will drop their cargo if whistled too. Take out the light colored rock wall
near the base. Then use the rest on the dark wall. Put away the yellows and take
blues and red. Head out as far north as the shoreline. Head right past a Fiery
Blowhog, through a narrow path to a dark lattice wall. Tear it down.

Don't let the fire spouts hit the blue Pikmin. After a couple is a bridge. Build
it with the reds. Take some blues and keep going to the Analog Computer out in
water. Bring that to dry land and head back to the bridge. Most likely you will
not have time to get either of these treasures back- the one still has to be
transported back and you need yellows to get to the other. Save them for tomorrow.

Parts Remaining: 22
Days Remaining: 24
---

*Day 7*
The Forest Naval

Time to get those two treasures. Take 15 blues, 20 yellows, and the rest red and
head out along the outer limits of the eastern side. Across the bridge use the
blues on the guyser and throw the yellows up onto the cliff then go up there
via the guyser. Get the yellows to bring the Libra down back onto the ground.
Let the reds take it back. Then keep going along the path to the Analog Computer,
the blues fish it out of the water, the reds take it back.

Ok if you check your map constantly one of the treasures is moving- with luck its
near your base. If not, you have to search for it. Its a Breadbug. He has englufed
a treasure. To kill him, you can throw Pikmin onto his back, doing little damage.
Or you can get him in line of sight to a pellet. Have two Pikmin hull him back
to the Onion. One hit should do it! Space Float pops out, nice and close to the
ship. Hull it in. I just happened to run into him while he was at the base.

At this point I had right around half a day left. You might have less depending
on where the Breadbug was. Head into the water. On the left side is a spring,
with a guyser and bridge on either side. Use the Blues to build the bridge that
drops onto dry land. Leave the one behind for now, due to time constraints.
However come back if you have enough time after this for bomb rocks. However it
gets cut close. Do not waste any time here. To get the Pikmin up there, go around
back and throw them up, then use the guyser in front and swarm them onto the
bridge. Take the Gravity Jumper back. This is our fourth treasure today, which
expands our capablities. If you did not get all four today, come back tomorrow
and get it.

Parts Remaining: 18
Days Remaining: 23
---

*Day 8*
The Distant Spring

Water. Lets take a day to open the area up. Head out right into a strip of land
that juts out- go to the other side and build the bridge. A Spotty Bulbear sits
down a bit with a treasure. He is a tough enemy, so leave him for now. Down
south of the base is a Puffy Blowhog. Throw Pikmin onto his underside to bring
him down. Then proceed to take out the two Spotty Bulbears. DO NOT SWARM the
pikmin at his feet- torrential losses will sufice. Throw them onto his back until
he dies, have a lot of Pikmin with you. You are going to lose one-two, which is
just about inevitable. Behind the one is bomb-rocks. Use them to tear down the
wall closest to you- you can't take it down completely with just these. If you
still have time, go take care of the Yellow Wollywogs in the water. Wait for
them to jump then swarm a medium sized army on them. They will struggle to jump.
If they do, get all the Pikmin out of the shadow- they will meet a cruel ending
if not.

Parts Remaining: 18
Days Remaining: 22
---

*Day 9*
The Distant Spring

Today we conquer parts. Start by heading out along the path into the water that
you built the bridge for. Take care of the Spotty Bulbear carefully and get the
Massage Machine. Have the yellows grab the loose bomb rocks. Finish the wall off
that you started yesterday with these bomb rocks. Head south west. You come
along an area on the shore with a bridge- building it take you half way across
the gap. Use Blues on the other half to create a path. As always be careful of
the green bug enemies. Resting in the corner is the Gluon Drive. This should
put you at the end of the day. Tomorrow we tackle the area with all the Blowhogs
and Spotty Bulbears, oh joy!

Parts Remaining: 16
Days Remaining: 21
---

*Day 10*
The Distant Spring

Head into the are behind the base (if the rock wall is still there you can take
it out or manuever around it. If you can, take out that Blowhog- he is such a
nuisance with the Bulbears here. Do what you can- Pikmin losses will be rough
here. Replenish with all the carcasses and pellets left behind. Clear out whats
close to the top wall. Then bring yellows over there. Use the ramp over a bit
away and drop down to the yellows and throw them up to the second ledge. Then use
the ramps again to get to them, and throw them up to the UV Lamp. This was a
tough day. Take a day off if you need to and breed Pikmin. Otherwise its time to
get more treasure!

Parts Remaining: 15
Days Remaining: 20
---

*Day 11*
The Distant Spring

Take out an army of blues and head into the lake. To defeat the Water Dumples,
swarm them. Take out the group of two then try to take out the group of three
without the Blowhog noticing. If he does, improvise. Either go to take him out,
avoiding the Dumples, or manage to distract him and defeat the Dumples. When all
is done, take back the Interstellar Radio. Now head back into the area we sort
of cleanred out yesterday. Travel along to the far back and over (not into the
water), and you see a part in a tree trunk (near water). The Pilot's Seat can
be taken back with blues- be careful of any enemies on the route back. Back
where you just where is another treasure. Out in the stream of water is a gate
with a Yellow Wollywog on either side. Beat them. The best strategy is lure them
a jump and then swarm them into confusion and death. Take down the gate and nab
the Zirconium Rotor. This wraps it up for the day, putting us a good 7 days ahead
of the end.

Parts Remaining: 12
Days Remaining: 19
---

*Day 12*
The Distant Spring

Time to nab a harder treasure in the game. Well, its completely enemy free to
get, but getting it is hard. Take 20 yellows out north to a very narrow path-
take a few at a time. Throw them up to the Repair-Type Bolt. The second they
drop down CALL THEM OFF!!!!! They will walk straight into the water. Have blues
standing bye in case they do it save them. Then use the blues to return the part.
Now head all the way west (follow the stream where you got the Zirconium Rotor
off of). Once there, with blues only obvsiously, look for a ledge with a part.
Can't reach it. Throw Pikmin up onto the ledge next to it (across the gap), and
use the guyser to get up there. Throw them across the gap to the #2 Ionium Jet.
Take care of the Water Dumples right there. Now we are going to have to basically
spend a day for each of the last treasure here.

Parts Remaining: 10
Days Remaining: 18
---

*Day 13*
The Distant Spring

Almost all of them! Head back into the west area from yesterday with blues. See
the platform in the northern corner with a yellow candypop bud? Thats the trick.
Throw the blues onto it, then guyser up. Throw them in, transforming them to
yellow Pikmin. Launch them onto the land. Throw them up to the Chronos Reactor.
Then throw the yellows into the blue candypop bud to make them their original
color once more. Then, take some yellows and equip them with bomb rocks. Four
will do the trick. Head into the once-enemy infested area. If you didn't kill
everything, a lone Spotty Bulbear rests outside the entrance to a tree trump.
Use the yellows with bomb rocks to kill him hit-and-run style. Save whats on
the other side for tomorrow.

Parts Remaining: 9
Days Remaining: 17
---

*Day 14*
The Distant Spring

This is our last day here. One treasure do go, and its not going to be that easy.
Take an army of reds and go into the tree stumps with that black beetle: an
Armored Cannon Beetle. His rocks he spews out will kill Pikmin, so don't be in
the way. However you have to in order to expose his backside. As he sucks in air,
throw a Pikmin (it won't hurt him) and he will inhale it. He overheats, and has
to expose his rear to cool off. Throw the min onto the red area to do damage.
This will have to take a couple of times to do so. Take the Bowsprit back. Now
simply spend the rest of the day relaxing and breeding.

Parts Remaining: 8
Days Remaining: 16
---

*Day 15*
The Forest Naval

Time to clear Forest Naval. Three treasures left. MIGHT be able to nab em all in
one day. First take out a good sized blue army, maybe 60 or so. Head out into
the lake area. Head into the back to find the Anti-Dioxin Filter. The only
concern is the ever powerful Wollywogs. Treat them as stronger yellow ones. Don't
swarm them. Throw a few onto him after he lands. Repeat for minimal losses- if
you swarm them, he will knock them down and most likely kill a lot of them. I
lost an easy 35 from that. Anyway, head into the area on the map that has a
treasure in a more open area. Take care of the Wollywog and some more of the
sheargrubs and sorts. I actually didn't have enough time to get anywhere else.
You need a good quarter of a day to kill this enemy.

Parts Remaining: 7
Days Remaining: 15
---

*Day 16*
The Forest Naval

Time to get the last two. Take an army of reds into the area with the treasure
that is more open (you can tell on your map). To attack this beast, follow it
around and throw Pikmin on its underside. If it straightens up, call them off
and take them back. He releases a poison that turns them into Mushroom-min: they
attack you. Keep the attacks up on him and he will eventually fall upside down.
Throw everyone onto him then and you should kill him before he gets back up. Take
his carcass and the Omega Stablizer. Now we have to prepare for the final part.
Headnig for it, you run into a dark bomb rock wall (closer to the base), along
with a dark lattice gate followed by a bomb wall. Take out at least the light
bomb wall and gate. Then use the remaining bomb rocks on the dark one. Theres
enough for both bomb rock locations to support. If theres time, take an army of
55ish yellows into the area to battle Beady Long Legs. Take only 20 or so into
the arena. He takes maybe a dozen stomps and then rests. Attack him at any time
before he rests (he shakes right after regardless). Watch the feet with ALL costs-
you will suffer losses if you don't. Try to avoid keeping Pikmin from attacking
his feet when possible. After a grueling fight you get only 5 pellets and the
Guard Satellite. Have reds escort it back cause of the fire guysers. You might
not be able to get these both on the same day- try. Spend any additional time
making up for the losses.

Parts Remaining: 5
Days Remaining: 14
---

*Day 17*
The Forest of Hope

Bring blues. Lots of em. Up to 80 should work. On the far side of your map is
an area with a treasure in the corner- head for that, taking out two gates along
the way. You have to fight an Armored Cannon Beetle. Remember to simply through
a Pikmin when its sucking in air to have it open up its hiney. Then take back
the Radiation Canopy. Then head for the remaining two pieces. Build the two
bridges to set a path for the Sagitarius. Then head around for the last one. You
have to fight another mini boss for this one- a Pileated Snagret. If you are
running low on time, come back tomorrow. At least the path is paved!

Parts Remaining: 3
Days Remaining: 13
---

*Day 18*
The Forest of Hope

The Pileated Snagret is a tough s.o.b. allright. Take reds (careful crossing the
land bridge), and throw them at his head when he comes out of the ground. Every
once in a while he struggles, allowing you to load the min onto him. He will snatch
up Pikmin, and then linger for a couple of seconds. Another good time to attack.
Enough on him causes him to struggle. Beat him and woah! A second one! Take him
out too! Then progress to a third one! However he yields the Geiger Counter.
Recognize this from Pikmin 2? There its better known as the "Treasure Gauge."
At least looks like it.

Replenish your army the rest of the day. We will need in in two days coming. Have
a lot of flower Pikmin, they are key.

Parts Remaining: 2
Days Remaining: 12
---

*Day 19*
The Impact Site

Second-to-last part here we come! Take three yellows, grab bomb rocks from the
bag thing, and go into the elevated area. Goolix appears- he sets any non-blues
with water. Throw the three at the bomb rock wall. Then have your blues easily
destroy Goolix by swarming the green part. It takes a while, but he can't do
anything about it. Then go into the new area. Three Pearly Clamps. Two have
pearls (resulting in +50 pikmin), and the third, in the water, has the Positron
Generator. Only one treasure!

This is the best place to flourish the min count. Do so, and we have two days
left and its game complete!

Parts Remaining: 1
Days Remaining: 11
---

*Day 20*
The Final Trial

This is a two day place. The first is setting up the path, and the second is
beating the boss and nabbing that final treasure. You may ask yourself, a whole
day to clear the path thats that short? It takes longer than you'd think. Plus
it takes almost the entire day to beat the boss.

Down to business. Pull out armies of each color- 30 or so will suffice for now.

1. Build the bridge out a ways with the blues.

2. While they do that we need to get bomb rocks. There is an island off to the
right. Throw some yellows out onto it. Then take them to the other side and
CAREFULLY throw them onto the ledge. Then use the guyser to get up yourself.
Then throw them up onto the ledge to nab the rocks.

3. By now the bridge should be built. Go destroy the rock wall that it ends at.

4. Oh goodie another bridge! Build it. It dead ends.

5. See that path that has all those nasty fire guysers? Throw 10 reds onto that
and whistle to them. Jump over onto the right side now (in control of the min,
but they can't leave that path) into the water on the side closest to the bridges.
Walk along the wall, dragging them. They will end up on land. At that point walk
under the bridge. They will continue north and run into the box, pushing it.

6. Take down the lattice gate.

7. Prepare for tomorrows battle.

You can mosy on in and in the middle if the boss- Emperor Bulbax. Its pointless
to try to kill him now. Go ahead and try if you want. Depending on how fast you
completed the previous procedures and how fast you work at the game, you possibly
could and then just have to get the piece tomorrow.

Parts Remaining: 1
Days Remaining: 10
---

*Day 21*
The Final Trial

This is it. Today, we beat the game. Before doing anything, you need to know
fully well the king grub-dog's attacks and how to kill him. He is clearly huge,
and as slow as he is big. He has the highest HP in the game- it takes longest
to kill him. However with a combination of bomb rocks, aiming, and good timing,
he will not be terribly hard to overcome.

First off, go into the arena and take out the wall behind him, and stash some
yellows back here with the bomb rocks that are found. It would also be smart to
keep your army back here too. Now you need to know his strategy. He walks around
and will use his tongue to eat Pikmin. Although he can take no more than 40ish
Pikmin at once. Thats a lot, but compared to losing all of them in one gulp. He
also will squish any Pikmin that just so happen to get beneath him. After a good
fight has been raging, he will start do jump. Watch for his shadow, or simply
leave the arena and cower along the back wall behind the place.

Our arsenal? 15-20 yellows and 80-85 reds. Blues sit this out- reds are the
strongest of the three. Equip the yellows with bomb rocks, and try to space them
out so you only grab one at a time. Heres how it works.

20 Yellows w/ bomb rocks
80 Reds

After getting it up, wait for him to do his tongue attack with a single bomb
rock yellow. Either let him eat the Pikmin, or whistle him back right before he
attacks. Can be done with more than one at once. This stuns him, giving you time
to rush right in with the reds and attack his face. Repeat 4-6 times and you win.
If you are going for a zero-death run, this strategy may be really tricky. If
you are one a 9-Day run, sacrifice yellows to stun him and then throw the reds.

This may take almost the entire day. BEAT HIM BEFORE SUN DOWN. Even if its with
two seconds left, make sure he dies revealing the final part. You can come back
tomorrow and grab it then. If he is still alive, even with 1% health left, he
will be back to full health tomorrow. That would really piss a guy off.

Beating him reveals the Secret Safe- its not even recquired to lift off! All that
and we didn't have to get it. But wheres the fun in that? Enjoy the "Happy"
Ending.
---

Now go get Pikmin 2!
