An easy way to stop thieves (because they seem to appear so often in the game) is to set up Burglar Alarms outside every door in the house. The burglar systems can be found in the buy menu under electronics. That always stops them, guarenteed.
For stopping fires, just put a fire alarm next to things such as fire places, stoves, grills, and other things with open flames. This wont stop the fire, but it will give you a quick response from the fire men.
1. At the title screen press R and L at the same time.
2. Enter "FREEALL" and "MIDAS".
3. Load or make a new neighborhood.
4. Make a cool family or choose one.
5. Go to an empty lot.
6. Press start, go to build, cover the ground in the last tile set.
7. Cover the ground in the misc section and then to the last.
8. Put that all over the level.
9. After that go to the neighborhood evict with all the items and then destroy the lot. (if you did this right then you should have 999,999 money)
Have fun with your money!
P.S. "FREEALL" makes every thing free, "MIDAS" unlocks every thing.
Fire- have a fire place put a easel or rug to kill them
Shock- make your sim fix than theyll get shock
Food just don't feed them

Before game play go to the main menu and press L + R to get cheat menu. Then enter the code FREEALL. This allows you to buy and sell stuff during game play for free. (This doesn't make bills free though) it also unlocks all iteams. When you are on level two (Reality Bites) buy the monkey butler. (the last item in the michellaenous catagoy) Buy it and during game play click on it and press release and the monkey will clean and fix everything in the house bofore going back in his cage again.
I found this out the hard way. For those of you who use FREEALL, stop! I used FRREALL and my game files all got erased! Heed my warning, and don't save after using it!!
Hi Everybody!!!! Okay here is my hint. For all of those people who play the sims and wonder what the aroma machine does. Okay.
The first smell brings up your comfort.
The second one brings up your fun level for those of you who have trouble with that.
The third scent brings up your energy!!!! If you go to sleep late, before you go to sleep, turn this on and Whoosh!! Your energy bar will be up in a cinch!!!!
I found that this works really well when I am skillbuilding because I always stay at the mom's house for a really long time by entering a lot of cheat codes so I could buy stuff, and so I could stay as long as I wanted without having to worry about what I had to do to get ready for work.
The cheat codes are:
Freeall
Midas
At least these are the ones I use the most... Well, I just stay there for a long time to skillbuild.
P.S. The Aroma machine breaks easily so just sell it with freeall and then rebuy it. Also for those people who are having trouble with money, Just do the following.
1. At the title screen, push are and then type in freeall, and then midas.
2. After you do this, go into whatever mode you are playing and buy stuff until your feng shui meter is full.
3. Save and quit this mode and then retype the cheat so you can cancel the cheats.
4. Then go back into the mode and you should find an overflowed house filled with stuff that you bought.
5. Sell all of this stuff and you will have a ton of §imoleans!!!
For those of you who are wondering how I did the §, all you have to do is push alt, and then 789.
OK if you don't wan't your Sim to freak out and you don't want to have to clean up after the fire than don't buy stoves. Insted buy microwaves. P.S. If you really don't want a fire than don't buy a fireplace.
When you need money and need it pretty quick, this cheat is for you.
First, when you start your game type in FREEALL for a cheat, then go to your real game and put in as many spa's as you can. Then save and quit.
Next, press down L and R again and type in FREEALL. Then, go back to the game and sell the spa's.
Get up to $999,999 and save it. Type in FREEALL again and begin with your game.
HAVE FUN.
