Unlock Polished Elfstones of Armor Enchancement

Just before you help Aragon fight go outside of the armoury and to the left side of it there are glowing lights. One of those glowing lights contains the Polished Elf Stone of Armour Enchancement. Save the game and quit and then go back to the glowing lights and it will be there again. Do this 6 times for ALL the characters.

Travel Mode

If you ever have trouble in a fight, and don't know what to do, use travel mode. You can access it from the save screen menu to go back to earlier levels. Fight enemies to earn skill points, especially with Idrial's spirit powers. Check your stats to see your characters weaknesses, and use the appropiate elfstone(you may have to take them from other members of your group). Also, be sure you have plenty of kingsfoil, lembas, and elf medicine.

Balrog battle

When battling the Balrog all of your party will be killed really quickly. To beat the Balrog I kept using Elf Medicine to revive my party members and used them to heal Gandalf.
Gandalf is the only one who can do significant damage to the Balrog so there really isn't any point in attacking with anyone else so just use the other characters to heal Gandalf and keep eachother alive. I beat the Balrog the first time I tried this method.

The easy but slow way through the wild.

O.K here's what you do. Don't you think it's annoying when you just want to walk around when suddenly Sauron's eye appears in the top left of the screen. The more clear the eye get's, the closer to a battle you get. So here's the easy but slow way through the wild. Whenever Sauron's eye appears just pause the game, unpause it and you will notice that it won't be as clear as it was. O.K so when you unpause it run for a couple of steps and when the eye gets more clear pause it and un-pause it again.
