Question for Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell Chaos Theory

I'm at the part where you have to activate the main server and push buttons before it overheats and Grim keeps saying try again. I shot the old man standing in the doorway so I didn't get a good description on how to do it. It's pissing me off help plzzzz
