How do I beat that gint squid thang in the water and all I got is grapling thang,sail ,scope,and jelly stuff in a jar so?

You need bombs to kill them, When you use bombs in your boat, your boat gets a cannon on top of it and the cannon fires the bombs at the direction you aim it. I believe you have to aim at it's eyes to kill it.

Use your Scope on him lol, no - just kidding - you won't be able to defeat a Giant Octo until you get the Boomerang in the Forbidden Woods of Forest Haven...

Use bombs, arrows or the boomerang. Bombs are your best chocie however.
