What is the deal with the Yata Mirror and the Yasakani Jewel?! What do they do?

If I remember correctly, the Yata Mirror provides the wearer with small HP and TP regeneration in battle and the Yasakani Jewel provides protection from physical ailments (i.e. Poison, Deadly Poison, etc.).

Yata gives hp and tp back over time in battle and the jewel gives you immunity to diseases.
