After killing all the villagers in Chapter 1-1 head to the farm (where you're supposed to go anyway). After killing all the villagers here go around the side of the biggest house. There should be a wardrobe. Repeatedly shoot it to destroy it. Now enter the small room. There should be a cage and a crate inside. Knife the crate to find the beerstein.

The beerstein combines with the Catseyes. The Red Catseye is a nest in one of the trees outside the old house where Luis is being kept prisoner. Shoot the nest to get it. The Green Catseye is round the right side of the church, past the path to the lake (to open the device turn the dial around by three seven times, then four five time, then three again once). The Yellow one is in the sacrificial cave down from the lift one the way to the barn where you fight Chief Mendez. It is in the chest inside. Combine them all with the Beerstein and you can seel it to the Merchant for a tasty 20,000 pasentas.

The beerstein is a ype of tankard and in the game has gems that fit in it and then you sell it for a decent amount of money. Hope this helps
