How do I get past this boggart dementor?

You mean when you learn the Patronus Charm?
You must direct The Expecto Patronum spell to reach the Dementor.
He'll back off momentarily, then come back to the ground.
You must shoot Expecto Patronum at him 3 times total to defeat the fake boggart.

Run. Fast. Beat this annoying puzzle with minimal damage (spin around the control stick when he tries to suck out your spirit), then enter the room beyond. Thank the Light, he doesn't follow you...until you learn Expecto Patronum. Now, though, you can fight back--use it, directing the Patronus into the dementor. Three solid hits will win you this dungeon--you'll promptly pass out, and be out of the dungeon when you come to.
