Does this game ever end. I got it thinking that it was like the other ff games but it wasn't kinda depressing. But does it have a point or a motive. I'm confused.

Technically it can end if you beat the final boss raem but the story line has no motive that I know of than to collect more memories so the game continues on forever because on my file I'm on year 255 and I've beat raem tons of times (after you beat raem it goes to the credits and the end screen and that is about it I suppose
