How do you get the skill Babadi's Mindcontrol (Majin Vegeta) to work I have tried everything and it won't work please help!!!!!

Ok, don't know if this will work on gamecube but it works on ps2 I have beaten the game 4 times.
When your at the stage and babbiti puts mind controlo on vegeta face vegeta but let himcome to you then when you beat him for the first time and he has the swirly thing on his head.
Move over to him and beat him for the second time and te squares will go to 0 and it will say new skilled aquired but you have to take the life squares down all the way with just 2 battles..
Ps: That's the way it works for ps2.

Well you have to die with 1 bar of kai and the skill then watch the cutsecne and you should be him. Ps do the same with the frieza's space ship skill
