Hey I'm new at this and I was wondering about where you can get the good rod in pokemon sapphire?

Anyone know please tell me asap..

1.Go east of Maulville.
2.Use surf to get across the water.
3.Go north and you should see a fisherman.
4.Talk to him.
5.You've got good rod!
