Question for Pokemon Sapphire

I think I've found a glitch in the game.
I left a male Skitty and female Nincada in the pound (both level 2) and got them back when the Skitty was level 22 and the Nincada was level 18. I trained the Nincada to level 20,and it evolved into a Ninjask. But there was also a Shedinja in my Pokemon team.It seems to be feeding off of the EXP of my Marshtomp, because it just dropped a level. Can you tell me if this is a glitch or normal?

The Shedinja appeared because you apparently had an empty space in your party when Ninjask evolved; that's normal. However, I haven't heard of Shedinja leeching experience off other Pokémon — maybe you had misrecorded Marshtomp's level.

I think you just saw it wrong. Either that or it is a glitch.

Pokemon can't drop a level. I guess it is a glitch...

Shedinja comes if you evolve nincada and have a slot open in your party, as for the exp feeding, not sure.
