I know this is really really stupid, But I just got a GBA Sp and Pokemon Sapphire. The fishing is alot harder than in Crystal and stuff, but the thing is, I can never get a pokemon. I think you're supposed to press A when it says Oh a Bite, but it just says the same thing and I press A again and it gets away. I've only got a Pokemon from a rod 3 times but I don't know how. Can you please tell me how to get a Pokemon on the hook so I can fish?

Every time it says "Oh a bite" you press the A button untill it says that a Pokemon is on the hook.
Fishing in Sapphire and Ruby is a real pain (and thank you Nintendo for getting rid of this silly system in Leaf Green and Fire Red). To successfully catch Pokemon on a Rod you really have to concentrate, because the dts that appear after you have cast are never the same in length.
As soon as you see "Oh a bite" you have to hit 'A' as quickly as possible, but this does take timing. If you're off, you'll either get the 'it got away' message or the dots will appear again.
You press A when and only when the dialog says 'Oh! A bite!'.
Hi to answer your ? You have to time it when you press a when it says oh a bite press wait for it to say o a bite again and keep doing this untill it says a Pokemon is on the hook
