Pokemon Sapphire Questions

My pal was playing pokemon sapphire on his computer.

<BR>Game is on Germen and he asked me can he download Pokemon sapphire on english and play with his old saved games on german.

I think I once told someone to download VBA just to cheat... but I don't think i made myself clear about the legitamacy of emulated gaming...here's the truth:

Emulated gaming is legal, BUT only for the first... 48 hours or so (this should apply internationali... otherwise it should be the shorter 24 hours). Having a Rom IS AN OFFENSE unless you legally own the game itself.

Your friend would be facing harsh fines if he/she doesn't legally own a copy of the game which he/she has a Rom of. I own a lot of Roms, and I use VBA too, but i never download any Roms I don't already have on GBA, as it is ILLEGAL.

To answer your question, no, it's not possible to play old saved games on different version, that'll require some extensive coding I assume your friends are not capable of.

It seems that your friend doesn't own a cart of pokemon sapphire, if this is the case, tell him to STOP playing on an emulator and go buy the cart (at least) If you like the series, support it by buying a copy of their game.

Don't play with an emulator (here're more reasons not to: on an emulator the clock doesn't run, you can't trade, you can't get mystery gifts, so I don't know why you'd play on an emulator other than trying to get yourself fined...)
