Does anyone know if there is a way of getting lots of Rare Candies in the game.

Yes by using cheating code device's like AR you can get like 99 rare candies, and even more! Without AR and stuff like there are only like 10 rare candies in the game :(

Have a Pokemon with the ability Pick Up in the front. I don't know how useful this is, but Soxers, my Meowth, in Fire Red has got to me at least ten rare candies with his ability. (Almost everything else was a berry, so maybe it was just luck. I don't know.)

Get a zigzagoon/linoone and they will pick em up....
