Question for Pokemon Sapphire

What do you need to find the bird thing?

How do you get into that room behind a man on the island where the gym leaders that are twins, it is next to the stairs?

I don't know anything about what you mean by bird thing.

For your second question you need:
two gameboys
an E-Reader
gentelman nils or lady astrid card from box
gamelink cable
1 ruby or sapphire

Go to the pokecenter in petalburg. Talk to a kid next to the pc. Say "Mystery Event Is Exciting''. Save. After it says you saved the game turn it off. Wait 10 seconds turn it on.

Go to where it says continue game. Under that it will say mystery event . Click on that wait. On the other gameboy put in the E-Reader. Link both gameboys. Go to scan card.

Scan gentelman nils or lady astrid.
It wil tell you the rest.

PS:an E-Reader can't go in the GBA SP . Only the regular GBA.

Did you hear that? The-devil-dude made an error. The E-Reader fits into both the GBA and the GBASP... it's just when you insert the E-Reader into the GBASP, the way you handle the GameBoy will be distorted, and I think some buttons get covered-up, that's all.

If that 'bird thing' is Latios or Latias, you need to complete the pokemon league to find them.
