Can you get Geodude and where if so?

Can you get Geodude and where if so?

Where can you catch a Geodude before for the third gym? I can't beat Watson. I have a Grovyle, Swellow, Aron, and a Lombre. Every time I beat the first two but the Magneton kills me with shock wave. Geodude is resistant to electric so it'd be helpful. ( Remember, I can't use Rock Smash OUTside of battle right now so. . . .)

You can find a geodude in the Dewford cave

Granite Cave witch is located on Dewford Island. Your tactic is the exact same as what I did. Try and try but then give in and catch a Geodude.

Actually you can defend yourself from shock wave by catching an abra then evolving it to kadabra and teaching it disable. Its synchronise ability is also useful against thunder wave. Timing is everything if you use kadabra.

To train kadabra, you can get an exp. Share after delivering the devon goods and letter for devon's president. Just talk to him afterwards. Exp. Share is great for training abra.

As for the fire type gym, I have not reached that far into the game to know what Pokemon the gym leader uses, but catching a wingul and possibly training and evolving it into pelipper is a good way. I expect numel to be used and pelipper can easily counter it.

Hope this helps!
