Pokerus?

When I was training my taillow in granite cave it evolved into a swellow. Then I went to the Pokemon Center and Nurse Joy told me that my Pokemon got infected with pokerus. I don't have any idea how my Pokemon got infected with pokerus. What's a pokerus anyway? And how do you really get it?

I'm not sure how to get the Pokrus but it is supposed to give increased Exp. I've gotten it several times while training Low and High levels so I think you can get it at pretty much any level. Hope this helped! =D

Kakarotman answered:

Pokerus is a super rare virus that makes your Pokemon level up faster and better. So it is actually a good virus. You get it by battling a Pokemon that has it and it can spread through being next to each other in your party.

Pokerus=good
It doesn't raise level faster but it will make it so when you level up a Pokemon with it they will gain more points in each stat because of something called EV's which determine how many pts you get to each stat when you level higher the EV of a stat the more pts gained it when leveled. In short it's like a macho brace w/o you're Pokemon being slowed and a LOT rarer. Just make sure you have at least 1 Pokemon w/ pokerus in the PC or it will go away.

GodofRock answered:

Its a great virus, you are lucky to have gotten it
