Hi, I want to get my Trapinch to level 41 so it can learn dig, but it evolves in that time at about level 39. should I let it evolve or keep it as Trapinch?
Will it still learn dig if it is the next evolution up?

If you let it evolve it will learn earthquake instead. I suggest that you evolve it for the earthquake attack and train up a Nincada instead (fortunately Nincada are easy to train and learn some good moves like false swipe as well).
No, don't let it evolve if it does it wont learn dig! and as Vibrava it will learn Dragonbreath instead!
