I have already got a scizor but now I want a steelix. How do you get another metal coat in the game?

You can't. There's only one Metal Coat in the game. You will need to trade from another version.

In Leaf Green, the Metal Coat is in the exact same location as on Fire Red. So technically, if you have both games, you can get both pokémon.

If not, then trade your Scizor onto Ruby, Saphhire or Emerald (if you don't have one of these three or Leaf Green I do not understand how you managed to trade pokémon to get Scizor), re-start Fire Red and do everything all over again.

I'm afraid that is the only way to do things otherwise.

By cathing a lot of Magnemite or Magneteon and hope that one of them is holding the metal coat.

I think you may be able to get one from the Trainer Tower on 7 Island, but I could be wrong.

I do know, however, that wild Magnemite in Pokémon Ruby, Sapphire, and Emerald hold Metal Coats sometimes. But not in FireRed or LeafGreen (instead they have Magnets :( )

Battle in the trainer tower.the mixed.and the owner of the tower will give you one.but for dragon scale, do the same with double.

There is only one metal coat in the game. If you want a steelix you've got to restart the game or trade with a friend. Sorry!

You said that you used a metal coat, well there is one more. Now I don't know were you got the first one, so I'll tell you both locations. One you get by beating the Trainer Tower on one of the levels, can't remember wich one. The second one is near five or six island, go down to the rocket hideout, and surf down on the water just below the hideout. You will some dude with a steelix grave. On that island, there's a metal coat. I think thats were the second one is anyway.

There are another one by finishing the knockout mode of the trainer tower and a infinite supply of metal coats if you thief them from wild magnemites(i think magneton too) that have them.
