Well I did figure out how to use gameshark codes for my visual boy however, I have another problem. When I used some codes I was then unable to open my TM case without the game freezing. I even started a new game without using any TM type codes and the same thing happened. So my question is how can I beat this game without my TM case because it also contains the key items? Is there a gameshark code so you don't need key items?

Well I don't think you can beat the game,because there are some key items you need to beat the game.

Hey,
Dont worry this happened to me aswell, but with an AR instead of a Gameshark, but it should be the same; it sounds like you used a cheat on your first game to get all of the TMs and HMs, and you used it pretty early in the game, if you haven't already got at least one TM or HM PROPERLY, your TM case will not have activated properly, and the cheat will not work. The way to sort it out is to turn the game on without cheats, go to a Gym leader, beat them, and recieve the TM they give you. This should properly activate the TM case. From then on, the cheat should work properly.
It's the same with berries, and berry cheats...

Use the game shark code for walking through walls.
However You will have a lot of glitches.
Save the game in another slot because your game may be corrupted.
The best Idea is to disable the cheats and start a new game.
