Through all my years of playing Pokemon (7) yrs I've never encountered a single shiny Pokemon why??????

ANSWERS

Cause there very hard to find, some have better luck than others, I only encounted I think 3 or 4, my sister found one the first time playin ruby, she caught it too, she caught 3 shiny Pokemon in that game, I don't know how she got so lucky, but she did.

Becuase they are hard to find,it takes a while to find one dude.

They are extremely rare, and completely random, i've only ever encountered two.

You'll just have to be patient.

They are very hard to find. I think it is like a 1/2000 chance of finding one, but I've found a blue male Nidoran int he Safari Zone only once and that is the only shiny Pokemon I have found.

Okay, I have 2 answers:1.they made these games so it would raise your frustration so they put tiny little sencors in these games so we would all get frustrated but when we are doing something more important in the game it suddenly happens for example, one time I was searching for a pikachu in the viridian forest and encountered a shiny catarpie it was gold then I evolved it and got a red metapod and a purple butterfree so seaching for a shiny Pokemon is easy if you go to a place where mostly all Pokemon are the samebut if you're lucky enough you can catch a shiny legendary such as mewtwo.
My second one is that give up and come back later!!!

You have to get really lucky I have encountered 2 shiny Pokemon before 1 a geodude(red) and a hoppip(all green) I tried catching geoudude by first using yawn but my luck it used explosion but right now I do have a shiny hoppip. Keep trying you will get a shiny Pokemon one day (hopefully a strong 1 unlike my hoppip).
