Nintendo Events are what the name states. They are special gatherings, or events held by the Nintendo Company where Pokemon trainers can gather to meet other Pokemon players and battle or trade with one another. Also, at these special events, special Pokemon are given out such as the Flying Pikachu, or some other rare Pokemon. Unfortunately, they no longer hold events for Pokemon Fire Red, so I'm afraid that you're out of luck. Sorry.

Hope this helps.

Nintendo events are places you can go such as game stop, or Toys R Us where Nintndo gives out prizes such as Pokemon like deoxys, Darkria, or Arceus. They just put them on your game. And they can happen at any time, you just have to keep a eye on the nintendo web site, and watch for it.

I hope this info helped you, have fun looking for cool events to get prizes.
