Mew in the pokedex...

Mew in the pokedex...

I was recently looking at the national dex on my copy of pokemon: Fire red, and I noticed that there is a seemingly empty spot at #151. Now, as far as I know, Mew is the 151st Pokemon, but I was pretty sure that the only legitimate way to get it was from a special nintendo event. What I'm Wondering is: Is Mew #151 in the national dex? And, If not, what is?

Indeed, Mew is the 151st Pokemon in the overall Dex, and true, it is only available at Nintendo Live Events. You pretty much got the idea.

I think it is but I'm not sure.

Number 151 (Mew) should be there. It should be able to be traded, nintendo event, and/or cheating to get MEW.

URaNUB answered:

You are absoultly correct about Mew being #151 and about the fact that it's a nintendo event, but you cannot catch it in Firered. You catch it in Emerald using an old sea map/chart which is easier to get with AR(action replay). Once you do that get on a boat and itll take you to an island where you chase Mew and finally catch it to Trade it to your Firered. Sorry if I over answered your question and I hoped this information helped you.

There is also a glitch that makes Mew appear but I forgot how to do it but it is really hard you have to Fly from a trainer before he walks up to then battle the youngster with a slowpoke on route to bills house then fly again after you beat him the walk up nugget bridge it should work again I can't remember it well and there is anthor way.
