Question for Pokemon Emerald

Is there any way to breed two Pokemon and end up with a different one (not an lower evolved form)?

Also, how do you know if the egg will be the same Pokemon as the male or female?
Thanks for answering.

It's impossible. The baby will be either the mom or dad's species at it's lowest evolve form.

And in common breeding, the egg has a likelier chance of being the mom's species, and it inherits the dad's moves.

Yes. You will always end up with the lowest eolved form.

You don't the gender will be a surprise.
