Yes Mew is in the game but to get him you have to have the old sea chart which takes you to an island where you will find him.But the fastest and easest way to get Mew is through a cheating device such as an AR or GS.

You need the Old Sea Chart by going to a Nintendo Event (good luck because they're in Japan doing Diamond and Pearl only) or using an Action Replay or Gameshark.

It's an event Pokemon. You can only obtain it by using an AR Code or Gameshark Code.
