Question for Pokemon Emerald

I my game the berries wont grow at all. I planted an oran berry ad watered it every one hour but it didn't even sprout. Why is this happening?

One more question is do I have to do anything to make berries grow? (e.g. Beat the Pokemon league etc.)

It depends, what berry is it? If the berry grows quickly and you've had a saved file for over a year, then you might need to do a berry update. That's only supposed to happen in Ruby and Sapphire but here are the details anyway. On Emerald/Leaf Green/ FireRed, when you're at the title screen, hold B,down and select at the same time and the berry update system instructions will appear. You a game link

EspeonDude_ answered:

What happened is that you probably had the internal battery in the game run dry. With that in mind, you can't do time-based events anymore. The way to fix it is to get a Jirachi through cheating or trading. Jirachi does something special.

The internal battery has run dry,but if you go on google.com you can search this:"pokemon emerald time glitch fix."

M.J answered:

No you don't have to beat anyone, you don't even have to beat the Pokemon league or anything like that. That sometimes happens to me, but after a few days (sometimes weeks, depending on how long you play it.) but if yours doesn't then I don't know, it could be a glitch in your game or something, you should contact nintendo by phone or e-mail, they most likely will be able to help you.

P.S - hope this information helped
