Question for Pokemon Emerald
I got a few question for ya'all.
1.how many Pokemon do I need to get a jhoto starter from prof. Birch?!
2.what 200 Pokemon do I need? The kanto or jhoto ones?
3.my friend told me when you get 200 Pokemon and you get a jhoto starter,he said I unlock the jhoto region. Is this true?

You need to complete your Kanto pokedex and have beaten the elite four to get totodile, cyndaquil, or chicarita from prof. Birch. You can't go to jhoto region in this game no matter what people tell you.

To answer your questions.
1. You need to get all 202 Pokemon in the hoenn region to get a jhoto starter.
2. 202 not 200. You have to get the 202 hoenn pokemon.
3.when you get 202 Pokemon go to prof. Birch to recieve a jhoto starter and you cannot unlock the jhoto region. The only region you can play on is the hoenn.
