Because my game cannot save is there any way I can fix the problem or overcome it because as I said when I save it it never comes up with continue at the option screen

Buy a new game or complain to Nintendo (they'll probably give you a "sorry" back)

Well there are 3 ways:
*buy a new game(obvious)
*take the game to a professional electronic fixer(if you have the money,which you could just buy a new game with)
*you might have a very dusty game(blow in the cartrigde)

That's easy to sort out just take a screwdriver to the cartridge and unscrew make sure you have a correct battery ready and replace. Tada it now works.
