How do you solve the deoxys puzzle?

Keep clicking on the side of the triangle nearest to you.

Geez, I just moved, but if you really want the correct steps I will look for them in my many boxes of Pokemon stuff...(2 hours later)...so I hunted them down after not finding any of my old posts-this took me a while so I hope you appreciate it!
Ready? This is long!
1) Approach and press A
2) Press Left 5 times, then Down 1 time. Press A
3) Press Right 5 times, then Up 5 times. Press A
4) Press Right 5 times, then Down 5 times. Press A
5) Press Up 3 times, then Left 7 times. Press A
6) Press Right 5 times. Press A
7) Press Left 3 times, then Down 2 times. Press A
8) Press Down 1 time, then Left 4 times. Press A
9) Press Right 7 times. Press A
10) Press Left 4 times, then Down 1 time. Press A
11) Press Up 4 times. Press A
12) Get ready to battlle!!!!!!

NOTE: At NO time are you supposed to touch the triangle!! All you do is get real close(like one more move and you'd touch it)and then press A button. You have to really pay attention to the directions or you go back to the beginning, and be careful you touch the pad lightly to count the number of moves in each direction. It may take a few tries, so save right before you try it, OK. If it seems you may have moved too much or too little and will either touch the triangle or not get close enough, you're counting may be off, so use your own judgement. The triangle should change colors and get darker as you get closer to the battle.

That's OK, it's a common question, so I needed to dig that stuff out anyway. Now it's saved on my computer so I can access it easily in the future for the next person who asks.
Congrats on catching him, if you did, that is, but at least on solving the puzzle. I had never even seen Birth Island when I saw those instructions from Nintendo themselves, but I copied them down since I figured they'd come in handy, which they did. It worked when I got my warp code-it's a cool looking Deoxys, though, huh? (I'm hoping I can get a shiny code to work with it on my 2nd copy of Emerald so I can at least see a shiny Deoxys)

Yea, I caught it, and I knew it was a common question, but I didnt really feel like digging through all the questions :P and I think it's yellow; shiny deoxys that is. Oh, and if you get a code that works, could you give me the m code and that code? I've tryed a lot, but they don't work at all.

I'm a researcher type person, so I'm always looking things up anyway.You want an AR shiny code that works? I'm not sure if it'll work on your version, but it makes all wilds and other trainer's Pokemon all shiny. It may even give you shinys from Eggs, but I haven't had time to try yet...but it's soooo cool!
OK, you need a Master code, DMA disable code and the Shiny code itself, and all 3 need to be selected. Supposedly you can use it with encounter codes, but I haven't found the right ones yet...you can check the AR section, there's tons of them there.

I hope this works for you because it's a cool code-the only weird thing is their names come out messed up, but you can always change them at the name rater's house later on. If not, sorry! Your version is probably newer than mine which is Version 5.8. Enjoy!
