A smart hungry zubat.

But if you use and e-reader, you can get more Pokemon in there.

Master Volthawk answered:

The zubat altering cave can be altered into different Pokemon via GS or AR code or an E-Reader.

Alchemy Wep answered:

When you enter the altering cave while using an E-Reader, different Pokemon will appear. If you don't use it, just Zubats appear. It also appears in FR/LG, so it USED to link the Sevii Islands and Hoenn.

Mr Mario 4 U answered:

I think that if you cheat, you can get a rare poke`mon in the Altering Cave, e.x. Mew. You MUST have a cheating device (approximately $30.00 US) to do ANY cheating on almost every game that allows cheating, e.x. E-card Reader allows you to scan a poke`mon and play in the Sotopollis City's house with the old man and the blocked door.

Hope I helped!

BBG_CREECAT answered:

To all of you who mention that you can use e-reader cards to get different Pokemon in Altering Cave-I'd like to see you find them as I was under the impression that those e-reader cards only work on the Japanese game as that's the only game they were made for, and Nintendo hasn't released any e-reader cards for any Pokemon games besides Ruby/Sapphire (and Pokemon Channel sort of, but that's besides the point)! There are only 3 packs (I have all 3), and you do go to that guy's house in Mossdeep to battle the scanned-in trainers, but in the US we didn't get any besides those, although in Japan they apparently exist for Emerald & FR/LG. So, outside Japan, Altering Cave is useless unless you really like Zubats. Pokemyths!
P.S. If this info is not correct, please feel free to say so, as I wish it weren't and I may have missed something...
