I have two questions 1)Can you buy any of the rare stones in Pokemon..

Ok, to answer your fist question, no you can't buy any stones in emerald, only find shards near Mosdeep which you can trade for stones. You can buy them in leaf green and fire red though, so you could trade them over to emerald. As for which Pokemon elvolve with stones, here are most that I can remember:

Slowpoke+Waterstone=Slowbro
Vulpix+Firestone=Ninetales
Pikachu+thunderstone=riachu
Clafairy+moonstone=clefable
Nidoran+moonstone=nidoqueen
Nidorino+moonstone=nidoking
Eevee+waterstone=vaporian
Eevee+thunderstone=joltion
Eevee+firestone=flarion
Growlith+firestone+arcanine
Sunkern+sunstone=sunflora
Lombre+waterstone=lodicollo
Nusleaf+leafstone=shiftry
Jigglypuff+moonstone=wigglytuff

1. You need to obtain red, yellow, green and blue shard and give them to the shards to the shard maniac he will give you the fire, leaf, thunder, and water stones.

2. There are lots of Pokemon that evolve by them stones look in the hints section or one of the many walkthroughs to find out which ones.

You cannot buy them, but you can exchange shards to the Shard Hunter off the coast of Mauville City to get some. The Fire Stone will eveolve Growlithe, Vulpix, and Eevee; the Thunderstone will evolve Pikachu and Eevee; the Water Stone will evolve Poliwhirl, Shellder, Staryu, Eevee, and Lombre; the Leaf Stone will evolve Gloom, Weepinbell, Exeggcute, and Nuzleaf.

1) No you cannot buy them.
2) Fire stone - Vulpix, Eevee and Growlithe.
Water Stone - Lombre, Staryu, Eevee, Poliwhirl.
Leaf Stone - Weepinbell, Gloom.

1)You can't buy them in this game,but a guy just a short surf west of mossdeep city will trade you rare stones for a shard you find underwater.(it depends on it's colour like a red one will get you a fire stone, etc.)
2)There is only one in this game that I know of and it is graveler.But there is other ones like haunter and kadabra.

Now in Emerald, you can't buy the rare stones, you can only do that in Pokemon Red, Blue, Yellow, Fire Red, and Leaf Green.

1) no you must find yellow, red, blue and green shards when you are diving and handle them over to the, euh.. I don't remember and you get the leafstone for the green shard, a water stone for the blue shard, a thunderstone for the yellow shard and a fire stone for the red shard.ou also can't buy the sun stone and moon stone, you can find them in a pokeball and some times from a lunatone( moon stone) and a solrock (sun stone).

1. You can't buy them, you just pick them naturally, and you can trade shards of the same color (which you also get naturally around Mossdeep) to the Shard Master near Mossdeep. For Moon Stone and Sun Stone, you can get only one naturally (Moon Stone = Meteor Falls, Sun Stone = Mossdeep Space Center), the rest you need to use thief/covet on Wild Lunatone and Solrock.
