How come when I use the shiny code with a bulbasaur, I get a regular houndoom?

Did you type in the code right, or did the person type in the code wrong? Or maybe both? Can you fill us in with more info?
The code is probably wrong. Make sure you put in the correct code. If that doesn't work, use a different code.
Maybe you entered the Pokemon modifier code wrong. Then, forgot to turn on the shiny code? What cheat system you got? Sometimes it's the versions codes difference. Not all of them work for all versions.

Well, I got the code from some guy named askura hao? Did I say that right? Anyways, I got the code from him under the action replay codes, because I use action replay. And when I inputted the shiny Pokemon code, and used bulbasaur with it, all I could find in the grass were houndoom. But then I checked with the code just make sure and it was the shiny code that made me get nothing but houndoom in the grass.
