What does Mystery Gift do? I did the thing in the pokemart with the paper, but how does mystery gift work?

In the title screen where it asks if you want a new game, continue a game, or options, there should be a Mystery Gift button. Hit when near others with Mystery Gift. I think you might need to use those wireless things that come with Leaf Green and Fire Red games.

When your friend has one or more secret tickets you can get them. That's about it.
