You press A on the triangle and it will move to a new location. What you do is you take as less steps as possible to get to the triangle and tap A. Each time it moves it turns brighter in red.

However, if it goes to the middle and turns grey again, then you must start the puzzle over again. Once the triangle turns as red as possible and is in the middle, then one more tap and you will see Deoxys fly towards you and battle.
