Question for Pokemon Emerald

Hey I need help.
I have the action replay cheat cartridge,and I have the cheat to get to southern island but when I get there, in the forest there is only an egg.But in pictures a saw that latios/latias is behind it. Do I need to do something

PS. Someone said you need the ferry ticket from Ruby/Sapphire if so how do you get it?????

For starters, you can press A once you're in front of it. Plus, you need to trigger Southern Island, so you can actually battle the Lati. And, if you want the Eon ticket, you have to mix records with a Ruby/Sapphire game that has it. Rate this answer.

You're supposed to press A in front of the egg in order to make Latias or Latios materialise. The one it will be is the one you turned down after the newscast at your house after you defeated the Pok�mon League. To get to the island legitimately with the Eon Ticket, simply mix records with a Ruby or Sapphire game on which you legitimately got it.
