Question for Pokemon Emerald
I have the scanner and the guy on the ship said give it to captain stern. He offers me a deep sea tooth or deep sea scale.
What's the difference and which one is better? And is there a way to get 2 scanners and get the other one I didn't pick without Gameshark or AR?

Deapseatooth:Evolves Clamperl into Huntail and raises it's special defense.
Deapseascale:Evolves Clamperl into Gorbyss and raises it's special attack.
You have to trade from another game

He means the Clamperl must be holding the item when traded to another in order to evolve into a Huntail or Gorebyss. When just holding it it raises the stats, not after the trade though!
They're about the same statswise. I think Huntail is a little bit better. Pick one, get the other with AR or trade from someone. No way to get 2 scanners, sorry.
