Question for Pokemon Emerald
Is it possible to catch Ditto?
If you can, then where?
(p.s. I have 8 badges and I am at the Battle Frontier)

Yes it is! Go back to the Fossil maniacs house and go up to him. He will say you can't go any further because the cave is unstable. Tell him you will go in anyway. You will find Ditto and some rock Pokemon like Graveler. At the end of the tunnel lies the fossil you DIDNT choose at mirage tower.

Well, that's good that you have 8 badges, and it's obvious that you beat the Pokemon League and that you obtained the National Dex. Anyway, Ditto can be caught in Desert Underpass, which is in the Fossil Maniac's house, which is to the left of Fallarbor. Anyway, go to the back of the house and there will be this cave.
The Fossil Maniac will urge you not to go in there, but ignore him. Inside, you will find not only Ditto, but also Whismur and Loudred. All of them are between levels 30-45, at least what I experienced. Not only will you find two worthless Pokemon and one rare Pokemon, but you will also find the other fossil you didn't choose in the Desert. It's a pretty neat place, but that's all there is to it.
Oh ya, bring an escape rope because if you don't, after you obtain the fossil, you will have to walk all the way back to the enterance (exit). Rate this answer!

To get ditto,wich you can,go to the place where you got dig.It is just left of Fallabor town.It is called "The Fossil Maniac's house".
After you beat the Pokemon league go there.Now go into the hole.
There should be a door at the end of the cave.when you go in here is a list of Pokemon and how often they are found:
Ditto:Very common
Whismur:Common
Loudred:Uncommon
As you can see, ditto is very common. Actually, some people might say it is the only thing in there!

Yes, yes you can catch ditto, you can catch him in the fossil maniacs house (in falarbor town) there is heaps.
